Account Deletion

At Skills.gm, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated information at any time using any of the methods described below.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account information (name, email, phone number, password).
- Profile details (photo, address, gender, occupation).
- Skilled worker profile (if applicable) — including skills, gallery images, verification documents, and availability settings.
- Hire request history and associated messages.
- Reviews you have written or received.
- Payment transaction records (anonymised for legal compliance).
- Wallet balance and transaction history.
- Notification history.
What May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained in anonymised form or where required by law:
- Financial transaction records — retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable financial regulations.
- Fraud prevention data — retained where necessary to prevent abuse.
- Aggregated, anonymised analytics that cannot identify you.
How to Request Account Deletion
Method 1: From the App or Website
- Log in to your Skills.gm account.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Method 2: Via Email
Send an email to support@skills.gm with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Please include:
- Your registered phone number or email address.
- Your full name as shown on your account.
Processing Time
- In-app deletion: Your account will be deactivated immediately and permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Email requests: We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days of receiving your request.
During the processing period, your account will be deactivated and will no longer be visible to other users.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered.
- If you have any pending hire requests or outstanding payments, please resolve them before requesting deletion.
- Any remaining wallet balance should be withdrawn before requesting account deletion.
- You may create a new account after deletion, but your previous data, reviews, and verification status will not be restored.
